The Song:
Windimoto's first single, "Don't Let Me Leave Alone" began as an instrumental dance track with an aggressive Latin drumbeat, a booming disco base line and thick, dramatic chords. Inspired by the vivacious beat and grooving bass line, newcomer Victor St. Clair wrote the lyrics and provided his soothing R&B vocals to take the song to the next level. The result is an infectious new track that you can enjoy while sipping a martini or when hitting the dance floor. "Don't Let Me Leave Alone" tells the story of a withering relationship - the couple is at odds and the man wants to work it out, while his girlfriend is not so sure. This story concludes in the upcoming B-side track "A Place For Us" - will the woman give in or leave him for good? Stay tuned for the continuation - as well as a remix of "Don't Let Me Leave Alone" produced by famed Holland-based producer Nicolay.
The Background:
Growing up in Chicago in the 80's, Sean Haley soaked up the ubiquitous house music scene. He used his knowledge and experience to introduce Detroit-born music producer Scorpeze to the Chicago music scene. Meeting in the fall of 2005, Scorpeze brought his jazz, soul, funk and techno influences from Detroit - and so Windimoto was born. Windimoto combines the music of Chicago (The Windy City) and Detroit (The Motor City) to create an eclectic mix of sound that will push the limits of what is considered dance music and appeal to all music lovers.
