The Song:

Rob Murat's latest single, "One Day," featuring Blitz the Ambassador, addresses ill-fated results caused by societal pressure. The common theme of human disregard of life is demonstrated as Rob soulfully sings, "Gunshot to the head, that's all it said. Headline never read that a baby girl was on the way." Lyrics like these are delivered over a frenetic beat, which is emphasized by a bass heavy kick drum, with the overall production melding nicely, creating a sense of nervousness as you prepare to aurally digest what is to come. Blitz's cameo adds grittiness as he delivers straightforward lyrics such as, "... so I wonder if guns made man or man made guns, 'cause if guns made man then there's nothing to win." Hearing his delivery, you get the sense that all hope is lost. However, with Rob's impeccable timing, you hear a melodic sounding flute begin to play, offering solace. By the song's end, you begin to feel that "One day we'll understand the reason for the rain." Says Rob, "I remember the day I created the track... I was like 'This track right here is hot, and something about it is deep... What should I write about?"' At the time there were a bunch of school shootings happening and a friend of mine had recently lost his daughter to gang violence. I remember feeling at the time... This can't go on forever. One day it's got to get better." Rob Murat's So Much To Say is available now via Quench Entertainment.
