Georgia Anne Muldrow, in the midst of an East Coast tour that has already seen her perform two dates in Canada, along with a captivating show at SOBs in New York City, is excited to release of her new album, Seeds. The LP, a fully collaborative effort with producer Madlib, is now available via SomeOthaShip Connect.
To celebrate the release, which is already being hailed by Pitchfork as some of her strongest work to date, Georgia is offering fans an exclusive stream of the album's latest single, "Kneecap Jelly." The song, as with the rest of the album, is hinged upon Madlib's room-warming low end and well-placed samples - "Kneecap Jelly" opens with a bending bass lane and wonderfully simple guitar riff - instrumentation that leaves plenty of room for Georgia's powerful vocals, as she sings on the chorus, "I am one/ And I am for directions on this wheel of life/ It is wise to honor all of god's children/ On this wheel we ride."
Continuing her East Coast string of dates, Georgia, along with Dudley Perkins, will be performing tonight in Philadelphia, followed by a show tomorrow night in DC. Full info for the remaining tour dates can be found below.
