The Song:
Fly Moon Royalty continues to receive accolades for their recently released, self-titled album, and while the Seattle-based duo of singer AdraBoo and producer Action Jackson continue to put the finishing touches on their official music video for debut single "Lemonade," they're excited to release the album's latest single, "In The Woods."
In many places Fly Moon Royalty, the album is one of love and loss, but musically, the electrosoul backdrops keep an up-tempo feel. This latest single, however, eschews that vibe for a more moody, somber feel, as AdraBoo sings, "I can feel you deep down in the core of me...gotta drop you, hard...need to get my whole mind back completely." AdraBoo, in speaking about the single, explains it as a song about coming back to reality, while being lost in a relationship, confused about whether to stay or leave.
"Action Jackson and I were both in parallel dating situations, both looking grim," says AdraBoo. "The song kind of wrote us, it was exposing to a point. Whenever we perform it, we fall into the song, having to shake off the memories when the song ends."

The
Background:
Originally formed in 2010 in Seattle, Washington, under the name "Sugar Water Purple", AdraBoo and Action Jackson quickly disbanded the name once they discovered that it already existed, which ultimately gave birth to Fly Moon Royalty. Having opened up for Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings and Allen Stone, and drawing comparisons to artists like Janelle Monáe and Gnarls Barkley, the electro-soul duo is prepared to introduce themselves to the world with their self-titled debut album, Fly Moon Royalty, set for release on February 6th.
