The Tour:

Jarren Benton is excited to announce that he will open for Rittz on his The Life And Times Tour. The tour kicks off Thursday, October 31st, in Mursfreesburo, Tennessee, stopping in 33 cities and wrapping up December 8th in Toledo, Ohio. Scheduled to make stops in Hollywood, New York, and Las Vegas along the way, the tour will also feature fellow opening act Snow Tha Product.

This upcoming tour with Rittz comes on the heels of Jarren’s first ever headline tour this past fall, a 16 city run that followed a co-headline tour in Australia alongside Funk Volume labelmate Dizzy Wright. This summer Jarren released his official debut album, My Grandmas Basement, through Funk Volume. The album, which features Vinnie Paz, R.A. The Rugged Man, Hopsin, and Dizzy Wright, debuted at #4 on the iTunes hip-hop charts and #4 on Billboard Magazine’s Heatseekers Album chart.

The recent visual for “Don’t Act,” with blunts blazing, girls going crazy, and Pabst Blue Ribbon aplenty, gives a glimpse into the experience of a Jarren Benton performance. “I’m excited to get back on the road,” says Jarren of the upcoming dates. “I’m excited to become closely connected with each and every audience. I’ll be down in the crowd, dancing and getting turnt up with the people.”

On November 11, Funk Volume will release Independent Living, a documentary following the Funk Volume crew over the course of their 2012 nationwide tour. The film focuses on the Southern California hip-hop label’s swift rise, also taking an intimate look into the personal lives of Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, SwizZz, DJ Hoppa, and label co-founder Damien Ritter. Funk Volume will screen the documentary for fans and press this Sunday, November 3rd, at the Downtown Independent Theater in Los Angeles.
