The Video:

After the release of their most recent EP, Believe In The League, Oakland rappers TK, Monty, Mr. Knowitall, and DJ Blacksmith, otherwise known as The League510 are dropping a new video for the track "Soul Of Synth." The beat, which was originally produced by Flying Lotus, was discovered by Mr. Knowitall while watching an Adult Swim commercial on Cartoon Network late one night. "His (Mr. Knowitall) inner MC just had to find the beat and rap on it." Explains Monty. "The super swinging, heavy, soulful drum cadence and the layered 8 bit video game- like synthesizers were just begging to be rapped over."

The video, which was directed by Jeffro and Suj was shot using a Cannon 1D and according to the league510 "was like butta." In what appears to be your average parking lot outside of a movie theatre, the scene is quickly transformed into a League510 party. "One of the most difficult things was gathering all the people in one spot and finding a parking lot we could sneak into to shout in." By the end, things escalate to the point that two women can be heard fighting off camera and though we aren't privy to what exactly happens, a lone shot of a weave on the city sidewalk is all the explanation needed after you realize that this is how the League510 gets down.

The Background:

Emcees TK, Mont, Mr. Knowitall and DJ Blacksmith better known as League510 are pioneers of a sound that is all their own, Town Techno. With a sound that is out of this world, League510's musical journey began in a galaxy far away from ours. After traveling the universe for years, they entered our galaxy and our planet shortly thereafter. With sights on our world, the quartet chose to land in the hills east of Oakland, CA. After hiding their ship deep in the hills they approached this new town with great curiosity and were immediately amazed by the vibrant culture that they found. Adopting the Bay Area scene as their new home, League510 wasted no time in beginning their new musical journey here in our world. Using advanced abilities, the four emcees quickly mastered the art of sound and gave birth to Town Techo, a form of music that would unite the people in heightened awareness; to show them to take action, to appreciate the fun in life, to believe in themselves and to believe in The League.
