The Song:

VICE/Noisey premieres  J Stalin‘s “Anotha Quelo(Remix) from his upcoming album, SID (Shining in Darkness), which features Joey Fatts and Lil Blood. With it’s mellow, rolling synths and slow BPM, you wouldn’t be off track to think that this was a love song upon first listen. But this is a from the man who helped the creation and proliferation of the Bay Area’s infamous mob music scene; this song is about pushing “product.” J Stalin echoes, “Anotha day, anotha quelo/Spanish connect, you know I’m all about the pesos,” reminiscent of his 2009 track with Guce.

“Anotha Quelo” (Remix) is a song that you would imagine to be in the soundtrack for the film Scarface, coming straight from Tony Montana’s stereo. And like Tony Montana, J Stalin is a businessman. He is the owner of Livewire Records and President of Town Thizzness ENT, a subdivision of the late Mac Dre‘s Thizz ENT. Being the prolific artist that he is, SID (Shining in Darkness) will mark his 14th album in just 8 years. J Stalin will release the album on April 22 via Livewire Records.
