Rap Duo Release Dark First Visual Off Of Upcoming Album Zenith

Grayskul, the Seattle duo made up of rappers Onry Ozzborn and JFK, release their video for “Face and the Fang” today. The video, shot by Eric Miller, provides nightmarish imagery to match the dark lyrics of the track and is the first released from their upcoming album Zenith. The visual features each rapper in settings that fit their individual styles: Onry being the more mysterious half and JFK having a more aggressive rap approach. Onry simply explains it as “a day in the life of your neighborhood vampire and ghost ninja out trappin’. You know, the everyday norm.”

Part of the West Coast rap collective Oldominion, JFK and Onry emerged as Grayskul nearly a decade ago. In 2005 they released their first album with underground label Rhymesayers Entertainment, titled Deadlivers. Zenith, their first release with label Fake Four Inc., drops on September 17th. The album features Aesop Rock, Raekwon, Solilla, Reva DeVito, labelmate Terra Lopez of Sister Crayon, and production by Aesop, Smoke, Void Pedal, and Moodie Black. The first single from the album, also titled “Zenith”, premiered on Complex earlier this month.

Grayskul Background:

Members of the West Coast rap collective Oldominion, rappers JFK and Onry Ozzborn are now a two-man hip-hop team known as Grayskul. From their first tour in 2004 with to their upcoming album Zenith, Grayskul have a decade of experience in the indie rap scene under their belts. In 2005 they released their first label-backed album, Deadlivers, on underground hip-hop label Rhymesayers Entertainment. They have since released a number of tour-only albums as well as releases through Rhymesayers, and a collaborative album with producer Maker titled Graymaker. Grayskul have recently signed onto Fake Four Inc., and are releasing their new album Zenith on the label soon. The albums guests include Aesop Rock, Raekwon, Solilla, Moodie Black, and sound engineering by Zebulon Dak (who’s resume includes working with Aceyalone and Techn9ne).
