The Brothers Revisit Their Tap In Mixtape With the VIBE-Premiered Video; Art By Accident Drops May 26th

Though they have deserved reps as R&B lotharios, Dom and Darius Logan, the brothers known as Blaq Tuxedo, can turn on the charm for a special lady. Strutting their stuff in a seductive and inventive new music video, the Sacramento-born duo pledge their devotion to their true loves on “Committed.” A highlight from Tap In, a diverse collection of rap-n-b tracks hosted by DJ Carisma, “Committed” is a stuttering, glittering slow jam with beautifully melodic performances from each of the Logan bros. Premiered by VIBE, “Committed” is an excellent appetizer for Art By Accident, the duo’s first official album as Blaq Tuxedo. Packed with a diverse array of rich and textured Rap-N-B cuts, from club bangers to slow jams, ABA drops on May 26th.

Accomplished singers and in-demand songwriters, Blaq Tuxedo have been exceptionally busy over the past few months. Last week, the brothers dropped the Frank Ocean-sampling “Good Day,” a Mass Appeal-premiered ballad about living life to its fullest. Prior to “Good Day,” the duo dropped the skeletal club banger “Steeler,” the first single from ABA. After impressing the likes of Usher and Chris Brown with their writing and producing talents, the duo became one of the industry’s songwriting go-to’s, penning jams for Brown, Meek Mill, Ciara, August Alsina, Omarion, and Ty Dolla $ign among others, and earning a Grammy nomination in 2014. As Blaq Tuxedo, they have released two EPs and one mixtape, including the full-length mixtape Tap In, the recent Red Flowerz, which featured appearances from Bibi Bourelly, IAMSU! and Ty Dolla $ign, and the self-sufficient Limousine EP. Boasting the E-40-featuring single “Lit,” which has over 229,000 plays on SoundCloud, ABA, releasing May 26th, is a worthy debut and an excellent showcase of the brothers’ stylistic adaptability and songwriting chops.
