The Video:

With a full and powerful voice and an ear for hooks, 18-year-old rapper 24kGoldn is a sure bet for stardom. Traveling to Japan for a dark night of the soul, 24kGoldn works through his relationship problems in A Lot To Lose, his new music video. Textured with snaky alt-rock guitars and prominent 808s, “A Lot to Lose” is a testament to Goldn’s crossover appeal–a trap ballad that wouldn’t feel out of place on rock radio. Taking a neon-lit stroll through Tokyo, Goldn works through conflicting emotions, contemplating what a failed relationship could do to his psyche and his burgeoning career: “No time to fight now/Barely got time for me/Can’t afford to lose right now/I’m just chasing my dreams.” Complete with cinematic scenery and time-lapse technology, the video is Goldn’s first since the viral hit Valentino, which has over 2 million views on YouTube.

Currently in between semesters as a Business major at USC, Goldn has his sights on a massive second half of 2019. The Bay Area native is prepping his upcoming debut EP, to be executive produced by platinum producer D.A. Doman, the man behind Top 10 Billboard hits like Tyga’s “Taste” and Kodak Black’s “ZEZE.”  The forthcoming effort will showcase Goldn’s prodigious hookcraft, supplemented by his breathless high-register delivery and his sly punchlines.  Featuring “Valentino,” which has over 3.5 million streams on Spotify, the project arrives later this year via RECORDS LLC.
