Single: Young Scooter – “Bail Out” ft. YoungBoy Never Broke Again

The ATL Cult Figure Shares the Latest Melodic Jam, Premiered by PUB, From His Upcoming Trippple Cross Mixtape

Critical Praise:

“He floats at the beat, rather than locking into the pocket, as if he were only somewhat concerned with the rhythm. His verses are more compelling for this style, and it makes conventional rappers seem a bit stiff and square in comparison.” – Complex

“For those who miss the rougher edges that made trap music blow up in the first place, Jugg King is a welcome reminder of the genre’s range.”  – Noisey

The Announcement:

With an irrepressible charisma and an uncommon acuity for emotional storytelling, Young Scooter is one of trap music’s unsung heavyweights. Rocking a percussive cadence over an emotional piano-laden instrumental, Scooter recounts a timeline of his life and legal issues in Bail Out. Tracing a roller coaster of personal accomplishments and roadblocks, the Black Migo Gang chieftain affirms his love for his family, even as he remembers his father leaving home when he was a child, and poignantly relays the struggles of life in the trap: “2008, n*gga, I couldn’t even make bail/2006, I had my son and I was broke as hell/2009, I start increasing my clientele/Real talk I used to sleep in a house full of bills.” Premiered by Complex,”Bail Out” features a verse from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, who speaks on his own trials and tribulations. “Bail Out” is the latest single from Trippple CrossYoung Scooter’s upcoming album.

The follow-up to 2017’s Juug King mixtape, Trippple Cross features multiple guest appearances from ATL innovators Young Thug and Future, whose hyper-melodic flights of fancy mesh perfectly with Scooter’s earth-shaking baritone. Last week, Scooter shared the Billboard-premiered “Trippple Cross,” the titanic trunk-rattling title track from the upcoming tape, featuring a helium-voiced hook from Thug and a typically charismatic and hypnotic guest verse from Future, whose hyper-melodic flights of fancy mesh perfectly with Scooter’s earth-shaking baritone. With production from some of the South’s best producers and featuring appearances from Thug, Future, Youngboy Never Broke Again, Casino, and VL DeckTrippple Cross is a trap event album, re-establishing Scooter as one of the scene’s major players. EMPIRE Background

EMPIRE was founded in 2010 as an artist-friendly, progressive digital distribution company. After early success, and identifying future icons such as Kendrick Lamar, Sage The Gemini, and Rich Homie Quan, EMPIRE was quickly regarded as a tastemaker in the industry and throughout the past five years evolved into a full-fledged record label, distributor and publisher for independent musicians. With the company and roster growing at a breakneck pace, EMPIRE has effectively disrupted a stale business model by bringing its energy, expertise, and acumen to its artists and labels. Given its reputation, EMPIRE works with today’s hottest talent from superstars such as T.I. and red-hot newcomers such as Anderson .Paak. While remaining 100% independent, EMPIRE has also partnered with Atlantic Records for a joint venture, home to breakout star D.R.A.M.and joined forces with Republic Records for the release of Sage The Gemini’s Remember Me album.
