Flashing a nonchalant charm that belies his 20 years of age, ShooterGang Kony comes out of Northern California with a cold-blooded bounce. Taking us inside his eventful life on the streets of Sacramento, ShooterGang Kony shares “Charlie,” his latest video, premiered by HYPEBEAST. Staying slightly ahead of an understated beat, complete with simmering bass and crisp handclaps, Kony shows off his slick bars: “Keep it Charlie, I don’t wanna hurt nobody, n****/I’m just tryna catch a vibe or a body, eugh.” In the video, Kony has a tense encounter with the law, as they search his car and arrest his ShooterGang affiliates. “Charlie” is the latest clip from Second Hand Smoke, Kony’s upcoming project, following the HYPEBEAST-premiered “Shoot Front The Reverend,” featuring Sada Baby.

Arriving as the 20-year-old rapper quickly rises amongst the California elite, ShooterGang Kony’s Second Hand Smoke is the most assured project in the already-prolific rapper’s career. Last month, The FADER premiered the project’s lead video single “Off The Dribble,” a stone-faced anthem inspired by the 2018 death of Kony’s brother Terryon.
