Critical Praise for Ralo:

“With “My Brothers,” Ralo shows the full range of his improvements since his last project, displaying a new mastery of his own flow that should be enough evidence of his potential star power.” Noisey

The Announcement:

With his high-pitched drawl and streetwise wordplay, Ralo’s outsized persona and unique perspective make him one of the most interesting rising stars in the world of Atlanta hip-hop. Preparing another hard-hitting and personal collection of tracks, Ralo announces Ralo LaFlare, his first release since signing to 1017 Eskimo Records. Hosted by 1017 label head Gucci Mane, who appears on a number of the album’s tracks, Ralo LaFlare explores the creative partnership and deep bond the rappers share. After meeting at Gucci’s East Atlanta Santa release party, Ralo and Gucci quickly connected over their many similarities. Both were born on February 12th, and have shared many similar life experiences including growing up in poverty, spending time in prison, and standing trial for murder. Beyond the appearances from Gucci, Ralo LaFlare finds Ralo creating a trap Mardi Gras, utilizing his extensive connections to the Atlanta underground to foster an atmosphere where the city’s top talents can thrive. Featuring appearances from heavy-hitters like Young Thug, Young Dolph, Lil Durk, Fetty Wap, OJ Da Juiceman, Sean Garrett, and with production from Cassius Jay, Super Mario, Honorable C-Note, Wheezy, and more, Ralo LaFlare drops on July 14th.

Returning with an apocalyptic Cassius Jay-produced heatrock, Ralo shares “Never Going Broke,” an inspiring, intimidating, and infectious anthem. Chronicling his hustling history, “Never Going Broke” is yet another example of Ralo’s facility with detailed and emotional storytelling. Boasting a forceful guest spot from King of Memphis and consistant Ralo collaborator Young Dolph, the Complex premiered  “Never Going Broke” is Atlanta’s next crossover banger and a fiery first taste of Ralo LaFlare.

“Young Dolph an I established a relationship in 2015 when I was released from prison,” explains Ralo. “We always ran into each other in the streets. Every time we saw each other he gave me words of encouragement, due to the fact I’m an upcoming artist, and we gained a bond through our time together. The record is special to me because we became close homies; we came from thy same environment. Our fans love to see us together, and that’s what matters the most.”

Ralo Background

Ralo’s’ music is a combination of ingenuity and power. He has worked with acts such as Gucci Mane, FutureShawty LoYoung ThugLil Uzi Vert21 SavageLil YachtyJefé (Shy Glizzy), and Young Scooter. This experience has given Ralo the opportunity to prove to his fans that he has what it takes to surpass some of the more popular mainstream and independent artists out today. His most recent project, Famerican Gangster 2, a follow up to 2016’s accomplished Diary of the Streets II, came out on February 12th.

Born and raised in The Bluff, a notoriously dangerous neighborhood in West Atlanta recently featured in the film Snow On the Bluff, Ralo Laflare (neé Terrell Davis) provided for his family at a young age, selling CDs and DVDs on the streets while honing his rap skills. Unfortunately, his youthful indiscretions caused him to spend much of his young life in and out of jail. After emerging from prison for the final time in 2015, Ralo found Islam, and he dedicated his life to making the streets a safer place through his music. After gaining notoriety in the Atlanta trap scene working with artists such as Future and Young Scooter, Ralo founded #Famerican, a music movement and community foundation under his direction. Signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo Records, Ralo Laflare represents a more empathetic take on trap music, balancing street tales with a deep sense of morality.
