The Video:
On July 17th, YG Hootie & A-Wax will release their collaborative LP, Interstate Trafficking. The album will be released via Illburn Records, in conjunction with Brick Squad Monopoly, and will include features from Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, Too $hort, and others. Just last week, YG & A-Wax leaked the album's official lead single, the Gucci-assisted "Make Room," and today, they're back with the album's second music video, for the track "Doin' Something Wrong."
The song, featuring some trunk rattling bass and shiny synth work courtesy of producer Loud Pack, finds the two West Coast rappers giving listeners a run-down of their successes and exploits, peaking at the track's hook, as A-Wax raps, "I must be doing something right/ with all this paper/ Must be doing something right/ With all these haters/ Must be doing something right/ with all these hoes/ Must be doing something right/ With all these hoes," before delivering the punchline: "You must be doing something wrong..." The video, directed by @SigmondIV, offers a fittingly straightforward approach to the song's theme, capturing YG & A-Wax celebrating the good life, cruising through the city in a glistening Maserati as jewels, drinks, and money abound.
