The Background: Growing up together just outside of Philadelphia, Justin Lerman and Ryan Pollie have been making music almost as long as they've known each other. Ryan attended Bates College in Maine, where he received a degree in music. Justin went to Dartmouth College, where he met Brendan Lynch-Salamon, a fellow a cappella singer with the Dartmouth Aires. Before meeting face-to-face, the guys traded demos and decided to move to Los Angeles. After garnering collectively high praise for their 2011 EP, Dances, heralded as one of the best albums of 2011 by I Guess I'm Floating, they digitally released their follow-up EP, put out a music video for "So Far/Vertigo," and completed their first East Coast tour.
