(January 6, 2011 - Brooklyn, NY) As 2011 kicks off, Tanya Morgan is excited to announce a brand new tour for the New Year, the Value Menu Tour, with Big Pooh, Hall Of Justus as well as The Young Americans (Big Pooh and Roc C). The 10-stop, 11-day tour will kick off in the Pacific Northwest at Habana Sodo in Seattle before making stops in Portland, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and more.
After making stops in the Mid-West and down the East Coast for their So Motivational Tour, Tanya Morgan is hitting the road again for the Value Menu Tour. Making their way down the West Coast this January, Tanya Morgan will be joined by the likes of Big Pooh, who also joined the group for their winter outing. "I'm looking to continue building that good road chemistry with Tanya Morgan as we embark to the west this month," Big Pooh explains, before adding, "To actually be on the road with people whom you get along with is very important at this level." Also looking forward to the West Coast outing is Brooklyn residents Tanya Morgan. "A West Coast trip in the middle of New York City winter is perfect timing," adds Donwill. "I'm most looking forward to In-N-Out Burger in California, Voodoo Doughnut in Portland and the warm weather in Phoenix."
VTech and NBA2K11 will sponsor the tour. To celebrate the event, not only will fans get the opportunity to see a collection of their favorite hip-hop acts in the same room, but thanks to tour sponsor NBA2K11, fans who purchase advance tickets will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a copy of the video game. Fans will also receive an exclusive Tanya Morgan/Big Pooh collaboration track appropriately titled "The Value Menu." "The track is the first time we have ever worked together - expect dopeness," Donwill explains of the collaboration.

The
Background:
Since their inception in 2003, the rap group Tanya Morgan has steadily built a strong foundation of fans and admirers for being what SPIN Magazine referred to as our generation's torchbearers for De La Soul. Following the release of Moonlighting (available in cassette tape format) and The Bridge EP, Tanya Morgan earned critical praise and Top Album of 2009 list inclusions for Brooklynati, which pushed the boundaries of a concept album by incorporating not only lyrical imagery but a creative, multi-tiered marketing campaign that included Brooklynati drivers licenses, an interactive Chamber of Commerce website, a welcome letter from the city mayor, Amir ?uestlove Thompson of The Roots, and more. In 2010, they released a free downloadable album called The Sandwich Shop, cleverly crafted from a selection of rare instrumentals from Late Night With Jimmy Fallon's backing band, The Roots. This year, members Donwill and Von Pea also released acclaimed solo albums, Don Cusack in High Fidelity and Pea's Gotta Have It, respectively.
