The Video: This coming Tuesday, August 28th, Stu Bangas & Vanderslice will release their new album, Diggaz With Attitude via Man Bites Dog Records. Already, the producer pair has released a string of impressive singles, including "The Gusto," which features Apathy, Roc Marciano, The Alchemist, and Evidence, and "Casino Royale," which features Apathy and Blacastan, not to mention their exclusives-filled mixtape *Brutal Blends. Now, Stu & Vander are giving anxious fans one final pre-release visual, for the single "1st Degree Murder."* "1st Degree Murder" features underground stalwarts Roc Marciano, Vinnie Paz, and Celph Titled, and the song continues Stu & Vander's impressive streak of bringing together some of hip-hop's most talented artists. "After the beat was done," says Stu Bangas, who produced the track, "it fit perfect for Roc Marciano." He adds, "I always thought Vinnie Paz and Roc Marciano would make an ill combo; Celph Titled came through to bless the hook and torch a verse." The video, directed by R.M.L., eschews new footage and instead collages together trippy, gored-out film footage – not to mention a few bikini-clad, machine gun totting models – pulling inspiration and source material from various obscure movies and foreign films, in addition to the cult, experimental early '90s horror film, *Begotten. Vanderslice, who has long since been a "digger" for the stars and Stu Bangas, who has been a big part of Boston's recently burgeoning hip-hop scene, first came together to produce the now-acclaimed Blaq Poet Society, an album with Screwball MC Blaq Poet. In the process, the production duo joined forces with indie label Man Bites Dog Records, and are now prepping their latest project, Diggaz With Attitude, or *D.W.A.* for short.
