	SL Jones To Perform Hometown Headline Show This Saturday In Little Rock

The Video: In late May, SL Jones released his *Paraphernalia* mixtape, a collaborative effort with producer DJ Burn One. Already the project has garnered strong reviews, and with a string of videos and remixes still forthcoming, along with a hometown headline performance at Vino's in Little Rock this Saturday, June 16th, today, the Little Rock rapper and Atlanta producer are excited to unveil the video for the fan-favorite single "S.L.A.B." "S.L.A.B. is an acronym for 'Slow Loud And Bangin'," says SL. "Coming from Little Rock, I grew up as a fan of Screw music, and Burn One and I both have a lot of respect for Texas music culture." Jones has been incorporating Screw into his music since the release of his debut mixtape, *C.O.L.O.R.S., and while misguided regional homage has become increasingly prevalent in the past few years, for SL it's all about representing the sound with integrity. "There's nothing wrong with saluting your influences musically," remarks SL, "so long as it's done the right way." The video, shot by Red Audio, offers a clean, straightforward approach, capturing SL in a number of performance scenes, whether posted up on low rider peddle bikes or with a breathtaking yellow and green old school Oldsmobile Cutlass. "The song is so driven by the lyrics," says SL, "that we really shot with the intention of keeping things simple. The way that Red Audio is able to capture shots - he really has his own style - brings everything together." Closing out 2011, SL Jones released his Flight Risk* mixtape, and together, the two mixtapes garnered strong reviews from XXL Magazine and Atlanta's leading alternative weekly, Creative Loafing, while earning the young gunner accolades from FADER, Complex, The Source, HipHopDX, The Smoking Section, Nah Right, RCRD LBL, Dirty Glove Bastard, and more, including a sit down with MTV News' Mixtape Daily and a nationally televised "On Deck" feature with MTV2's Sucker Free.
