Critical Praise for Sandman Viper Command:
"Sandman Viper Command conjures up references to Sloan - but in away that is still fresh... for a debut recording, this is a standout on so many levels... the band to watch in 2010" - Hamilton View"
"Strawberry Quick" presents a band with quite a bit of range, and the young group is poised to make a bigger dent in the scene." - Citizen Dick
The Song:
As Sandman Viper Command have shown with their two previous singles "Strawberry Quick" and "Rough Love," there are multiple sides to this pack of Canadian garage-rockers. Yet there may not be a moment where the band has sounded quite as tight and well adjusted - while still managing to incorporate their deliberately messy, rock and roll tendencies - as seen on "The Metal I've Spent."
With the brashness of bands like the Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes in their golden days in mind, 'The Metal I've Spent" is forcefully driven by its snappy percussion, rollicking bass lines, and TONS (we mean tons) of guitar riffage. But it's vocalist Rob Janson's roaring vocals that truly craft the song into a straight-up party anthem full of high-octane energy that can be felt miles away. While Sandman Viper Command have now officially wrapped up their U.S. outings, the seeds have been planted, making 2012 a year to look forward to.

The
Background:
Sandman Viper Command is comprised of four best friends (Rob Janson, Aaron Harvey, Dan Reardon, Matt Meyer). Leaving behind the college textbooks and replacing them with electric guitars, Sandman Viper Command isolated themselves for six months in a barn on the outskirts of Hamilton, Ontario with producer Dave King. From the session came the impressive 12-song, independently released debut album Everybody See This. Performing a handful of U.S. dates for the first time this October, Sandman Viper Command are aiming to take the world by storm.
