Leading up to the release of his Bitch, I'm A Player EP, Roach Gigz released "Drugs," a track that featured fellow Bay rapper DB Tha General. Unsurprisingly, the song fast became a fan-favorite, with Roach and DB trading their energetically under-the-influence bars atop producer C-Loz' equally bouncy, synth-driven production. Now, Roach Gigz is excited to release a remix for the track featuring Danny Brown.
Danny Brown has already stated his love for Bay Area hip-hop, along with his appreciation of Roach's music and his desire to work together, and for Roach, the respect is mutual – the collaboration was a long time coming. "I heard about Danny Brown a while back," explains Roach on the origins of the collaboration. "Danny has one of those real unique voices, and he keeps it lyrical. I thought it would be cool to collaborate with an artist from the other side of the country, and 'Drugs' wound up being a perfect fit."

Selected as one of 106 KMEL's Top 10 Freshman Rappers of the Bay Area, 21-year-old San Francisco native Roach Gigz has gone from virtually unknown to one of the hottest artists on the West Coast. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Roach was conceived in Nicaragua during the Contra and Sandinista war. Named after a combination of the character Roach from the movie Next Friday and his high school days dancing skills, Roach Gigz first gained local fame with close friend Lil 4Tay as one half of the group Bitch I Go (B.I.G.).
