The Song:
"Supa," one of Tha Clean Up's finest lyrical installments, is defined by Knobody as "pure expression" - no message of universal harmony, no wisdom from the hood, just straight wordplay. The poetic whirlwind starts just seconds into the track, as Knobody kicks an 8 bar metaphor equating the rap game to the oceanic eco-system; and it's too damn long to even transcribe. "Supa" also proves to be one of Da Beathoven's smoothest performances, as he cooks up a brew of finely minced, relaxing violins. With such a well polished second single, Knobody is ready to show the rest of the world what the Hiero crew saw in him.
The Background:
Since the age of 16, Knobody has been busy developing his unique blend of rhyme and spoken word (coined as “Rappetry’) to become one of the most recognized young emcees in the Bay Area hip-hop scene. In 2006, Knobody was signed to Hiero Imperium Records and was announced as the first signing to their new Triple i League - Hiero’s version of a Major League Baseball farm team. With his already polished lyrical skills, and the business know-how of Hiero behind him, Tha Clean Up aims to do what a clean-up hitter does on a baseball team: smack some balls out of the park.
