The Song:
With the September 22nd release of One Fan At A Time around the corner, Hollywood FLOSS continues to satiate fans with freebies from the new album, and the latest in line is "Line 'Em Up," a song that serves as the second single from the forthcoming album. In the tradition of so many great hip-hop songs before it, FLOSS' aim with the new single is simple: show and prove. But while the idea may be simple, the execution is far from it, with FLOSS deliver quick witted lyrics and deft wordplay along the way. "This is the type of track that's essential to prove your lyrical and song making skills," explains the H-Town emcee. "A good old brag track."
Produced by Chris Rockaway, who's quickly making a name, himself, working with a wide variety of up-and-coming Houston talents, "Line 'Em Up" is supposed to convey a Houston sound while being reminiscent of East Coast style lyrics. " I grew up on brag rap and battle raps, killing the competition, so it's second nature," explains FLOSS. "I enjoy taking it back to coming up with dope rhymes; wordplay gets a reaction out of the listener." The track also features Chicago rapper YP, who, according to FLOSS, helps to round out and diversify the sound of the track. "YP captures and matches the same intensity," FLOSS explains, noting that YP is, "a very underrated hungry MC."
