With only one week until the November 30th release of hasHBrown's new album, Break Something, the Houston-based rapper/producer stays busy, giving fans yet another single from the project. In the past weeks, hasH has released the video for "Heaven," not to mention his collaboration with Detroit's Guilty Simpson on the song "Break The Chain," and now, hasH is excited to unveil his latest single, "This Is It," which also features singer Dannie Walker on the chorus.
"The main inspiration was going out on the town and knowing that at this 'one spot' you were going to hear good music, no matter what," explains hasHBrown. "Some venues and events are known for their nightlife party atmosphere but what draws me in to going out to a bar or lounge is if I know that I'm going to hear dope music while I party." And in telling his story, hasH keeps things creative with a feel good track, one that maybe extends a little beyond his core audience, but also one that allows the up-and-coming do-it-all to avoid having his music put into a box.

Hailing from Houston, hasHBrown (aka producer Jett I. Masstyr) dabbles in double duties as both emcee and producer. He got his start in 2003, rapping in the collective The Council, alongside other locals John Dew and Hip-Phonix. Riding off the buzz from their 2005 EP Black Bleach, hasHBrown began his solo endeavor, dropping various mixtapes until this past February when he dropped his Relationsh*t EP, considered by fans and critics as his best work to date.
