	Brooklyn Director Taps Superpower Infused Gummy Bears For Latest Video

The Video: Director Drew Norton is pleased to announce the release of Vincent Cacchione and his band Caged Animals video for their single "Girls On Medication." Otherworldly song structure and deconstructed harmonies amidst melodic pop that parallel Atlas Sound and Animal Collective prove front man, Vinvent Cacchione, isn't afraid to pursue an experimental, organic-electronic hybrid. Brooklyn based director Drew Norton created the surreal video showcasing Gummy Bears, super powers, and the total annihilation of an unsuspecting city. In the video Norton takes the childhood favorite snack, a seemingly innocent treat, whose only apparent danger was the occasional cavity and puts a dark spin on the multi colored candy that give lead singer, Vincent Cacchione, the ability to harness the power of "laser eyes." With a an arsenal of these delectable WMDs', Cacchione parades about the city scorching buildings, dumpsters and even trees at his leisure. "The band was set on having it be black & white like the 'Yonkers' video for Tyler The Creator or like the 'You' video Ft. Nina Sky that Creep did," Norton reveals. Although filmed in black & white, the only color present is that of which emanates through Cacciones' deadly laser vision and the objects he decides to obliterate. "Originally I suggested they blow shit up with rainbow lasers as a joke, but after hearing that Vincent was pretty adamant on the idea and wouldn't let it go," Norton admits, "...the gummy bears were there to serve as the source of his powers." Unfortunately there were many gummy bear casualties, "...Vincent was partial to the red ones. He went through a bunch of bags while filming," laughs Norton. Drew Norton is the creator of the Green Screening Project, which is a video project devised as a way for artists to have seemingly endless boundaries when creating and making their music videos. The site will showcase in total thirty-five videos along with curated extra footage, audio, pictures, and interviews featuring bands such as involved include Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Ava Luna, The Dewars, Lightouts, Tanya Morgan, and more. The Project: Green Screening was the brainchild of Brooklyn-based, Virginia-native director Drew Norton. Over the past year he has been working independently with indie labels such as Rough Trade and Barsuk to create music videos for up-and-coming acts that bring to life their sound, represent the band's brand, and also get traction and exposure online. Norton wanted to work collaboratively with artists and create a faster-turnaround production model and to get the Green Screening project off the ground he managed to raise thousands of dollars via crowd-funding site Kickstarter. Twenty-eight talented acts signed-up to come to Seaside Lounge studios in Park Slope, rented out especially by Drew, to lay down a live track for at no expense to the artist or label. They all performed in recording space decked-out in full "greenscreen" backdrops so that bespoke visuals could be added in afterward. This event was held in parallel to the CMJ Music Marathon in October 2010, a time when many bands were in town to showcase their music, and when the spotlight was on the Brooklyn scene.
