Hieroglyphics members Pep Love and Opio have formed a new duo, First Light and will release their debut album, Fallacy Fantasy, on March 26th. Last month, First Light released the album's first single, "Lighters," which features the duo's Hieroglyphics crew, with guest appearances from Casual, Del the Funky Homosapien, and A-Plus, and today, Pep and Opio are dropping another video, for their new single, “Hold On.”
The track, which is available for free download now via fallacyfantasy.com, the same spot where fans can also pre-order the album, is produced by Unjust, who offers up a dusty drum loop and muted horn and vocal chops, with Pep and Opio doing what they do best, trading impactful bars like, “If you at arms length you gonna get touched in the mind.” The video, directed by Austin Steele, is a smooth, straightforward clip that fittingly puts the focus directly on Pep Love and Opio with a number of clean performance shots.
