The Song: Today, Fatal Lucciauno is excited to celebrate the release of his sophomore album, Respect. February has been a brief but busy month for Fatal, who has been dropping a string of singles from the album, in addition to his free collaborative EP with super producer Jake One, The Message. To help celebrate the release Respect, Fatal is serving up “Black Hoody Rap,” the album's latest single. “On ‘Black Hoody Rap,’ I was very angry and just wanted to lash out on all comers, new and old,” says Fatal, who mercilessly rips through the track with lyrics like, “I love no apes or chimpanzees/ With the wolves in the zoo is where you’ll find me.” Helping Fatal get his point across is Spac3man, a fellow Seattle wordsmith and Sportn' Life Records label mate who “came in and got straight to the point,” on this track.
