First single for El-P's I'll Sleep When You're Dead Drops Today, Adult Swim Produced Video Forthcoming (Brooklyn, NY February 20, 2007) Definitive Jux co-founder, emcee, and producer El-P's first single from his new album I'll Sleep When You're Dead is available today. Entitled "Flyentology", the song features Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. The single will be supported by an Adult Swim produced video that will debut on Comedy Central. El-P first worked with Trent Reznor when he remixed the NIN front man's single "Only." They kept in touch and when El-P began production work on "Flyentology," he realized that Reznor would be the perfect addition for the song. Reznor worked on the track while on tour and emailed El-P his takes. "Trent completely surprised me by how generous he was creatively," said El-P. "Every part I asked him to do he did several versions of so that I could choose my favorites. It made me wonder if I were as famous as he is if I would be that cool. I hope so." "Flyentology" b/w "EMG" is available today via iTunes. The Adult Swim produced music video will premier on Comedy Central soon. I'll Sleep When You're Dead will be released on March 20th and features guest appearances from The Mars Volta, Aesop Rock, Cage, Cat Power, and other high profile artists. iTunes Link: "Flyentology" feat.
