On September 18th, Media Shower was released through Man Bites Dog Records by rapper Double A.B. and producer Dub Sonata. The album features Roc Marciano, Evidence, Cannibal Ox, Sean Price, and Scram Jones, and received coverage from Complex and OkayPlayer. Following their previous singles, "Lord Knows What," "Some Bullsh!t," and the non-album single, "Outta Order," the duo is pleased to release their latest single and title track, "Media Shower" Ft. Rhymefest.
One of the more uplifting beats produced by Dub Sonata, Double A.B. and Rhymefest go to work laying out raw lines over the piano and acoustic guitar sampled track. "Dub Sonata produced the song and it sounded like a good beat to air out the feelings I had about these issues," says A.B. The song takes a thoughtful look at the ways in which society has changed since the days when the two were growing up, and how the media and technology has come dominate nearly all aspects of life. According to A.B.,"from social media on down through more traditional forms, it seems the average person spends a much higher portion of his/her day dealing with media in general; being bombarded or 'showered' by it."

Background:
New York City rapper Double A.B. first garnered attention in the late '90s, as a teenager, when his demo was discovered by Blaze Magazine. The publication was so impressed with A.B.'s music that it quickly entered the rap upstart into its popular Blaze Battle, and while Double A.B. entered as an unknown, he left, burgeoning career underway, as one of four semi-finalists in the battle. A.B. continued his battle dominance, taking part in a number of national television competitions on MTV, before switching modes and leaving the battle circuit in order to focus on his music full-time. Since then, Double A.B. has released two albums, New York Minute and The Diesel, and has collaborated with the likes of Vast Aire, Scram Jones, and others. He's also stayed busy on the road, touring with artists including the GZA, Cannibal Ox, eLZhi, and C-Rayz Walz. Now, on September 18th, Double A.B. is teaming up again with producer Dub Sonata -- the two first collaborated on Double A.B.'s album The Diesel -- and together the rapper and producer pair will release a new album, Media Shower via Man Bites Dog Records. In addition to Roc Marciano, who is featured on lead single "Lord Knows What," Media Showers will include features from Sean Price, Rhymefest, Cannibal Ox, Evidence, and others.
