In response to the popularity of 45rpm records of times past, the iTunes store has adopted this old format and developed it for the digital age. As a result, fans of music from all genres will be able to experience songs from their favorite artists as well as hear never before heard material. Jovi Rockwell is becoming a star in her own right, and with comparisons to Santigold and M.I.A, her buzz has only gotten larger with her feature on Major Lazer's "Can't Stop Now," alongside fellow Jamaican heavyweight Mr. Vegas. To celebrate Jovi's recent success and bring attention to some of her prior work, Delicious Vinyl is releasing a Digital 45 of two songs recorded when Jovi was signed to the historic west coast-based label. While the first track, "Rizzla" is sure to get your feet moving with its epic yet grooving hip-hop production, Jovi's Jamaican roots come across more prominently with the second, more laid-back reggae track, "You're Gonna Need Me," featuring Mr. Vegas. Each of these tracks has already been released with a corresponding music video. The "Rizzla" video, also available via iTunes, accentuates Rockwell's fun personality, while the video featuring Mr. Vegas points out her softer side, as well as her staggering sex appeal. The Background:

Jovi Rockwell, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, got her start recording a number of tracks with Mr. Vegas and since has released her hit "Rizzla" with Delicious Vinyl in 2008. Since then she has signed to Epic records, working with Ne-Yo, Akon, The Heavyweights, Sly & Robbie and is featured on Diplo and Switch's Major Lazer project released on Atlantic Records. Delicious Vinyl is now featuring Rockwell on a two track iTunes Digi-45 release.
