Today, Chippy Nonstop is traveling miles away from home in Oakland to Oklahoma City for the first night of Kreayshawn’s Group Hug Tour along with Rye Rye and Honey Cocaine. The infectious electro-trap darling is so thrilled to embark on this 28-date national tour that she wanted to share the excitement with her fans with a new loosie single called "R U Down?", featuring Bay Area rapper Antwon and Canadian producer du jour Ryan Hemsworth. Adding to the hype is Fact Magazine, which premiered the single today online.
"R U Down?" marks Chippy's newest material following the release of her eclectic, party-inducing EP, #MONEYDANCE101. Never one to do the expected, Chippy swaps her feisty hypersexuality for a more Lolita vibe with this track, offering a glimpse of what the firecracker from The Bay is like once the strobe lights dim. Ryan Hemsworth lends his talents to Chippy's latest track and infuses it with the hazy, ethereal, and whimsical sound that he has become known for. The Background:
Chippy Nonstop is an audacious, undeniable party starter. She is of Indian descent but is more of a cultural nomad; she was born in Dubai, grew up in Zambia, has citizenship in Canada, and currently lives in Oakland. Chippy makes "electro-trap" music that combines dance, hip-hop, and world sounds. She will be featured on the upcoming Kreayshawn, Major Lazer, Big Baby Gandhi and Star Slinger albums. Chippy just released her first solo EP, #MONEYDANCE101, and #GlobalSkoolOfTwerk mixtape. Her discography includes released feautures with The Pack's Stunnaman, Metro Zu, Andy Milonakis, and Main Attrakionz.
