(February 15, 2012 - Brooklyn, NY) A.Dd+ is excited to announce their first North American tour. This February, the Dallas duo of rappers Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy, along with fellow opener J. Pinder, will be hitting the road with Black Milk as part of The Claps And Slaps Tour. A.Dd+ will join the 25-date run on the February 29th stop in New York City, and will be on the road for just over a month, winding down the tour on March 30th, in Toledo, Ohio. To celebrate, A.Dd+ is releasing a brand new single, "Shit Got Crazy," available for free download via the group's SoundCloud.
In 2011, A.Dd+ released their free album When Pigs Fly. The project (produced entirely by Picnictyme, who's prepping his own solo effort while touring with Erykah Badu as part of the Cannabinoids) was hailed as the greatest local hip-hop album ever by the Dallas Observer, earned them a coveted Chairmen's Choice in XXL Magazine, and ended up on year-end lists from Pitchfork, and others.
The album also earned A.Dd+ a slot on last month's Red Bull Skooled Tour, hitting seven cities throughout the southwest alongside a collection of Texas legends and fellow up-and-comers. "It's an unexplainable feeling," remarks Paris. "We're really making Dallas history right now. We're setting precedents, and it feels good to be rewarded even though we're doing things differently."
The Skooled Tour also served as the perfect warm-up for A.Dd+'s forthcoming North American run as a part of Black Milk's Claps And Slaps Tour, which they will be joining later this month in New York, NY. For A.Dd+, the tour will offer a number of firsts, but most of all Paris and Slim look forward to opening new fans up to their sound. "We'll be bringing high energy, and since there aren't a lot of duos anymore, we make it our goal to leave a lasting impression," remarks Paris, with Slim quickly adding, "All I can say is, look forward to one hell of a show."

The Background:
Quirky yet streetwise, fun-loving yet dead serious, A.Dd+, the duo of Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy, may just be leading Dallas towards a rap renaissance. In 2009, A.Dd+ released their debut mixtape, Power of the Tongue, a project that earned them regional acclaim and a "Best Rap Act" nomination from local alternative weekly the Dallas Observer, but it was in 2011, with the release of their official debut When Pigs Fly that the duo broke through. The LP was hailed as "the best hip-hop album Dallas has ever released," by the Dallas Observer, who also nominated the group for "Best Album" and "Best Rap Act" in their year-end Dallas Observer Music Awards. The project also earned A.Dd+ acclaim from national media outlets such as XXL Magazine and Pitchfork, with a coveted Chairman's Choice feature and inclusion in the "Best Of: Underrated Rap Releases of 2011" list, respectively. Pitchfork described the group as, "the spawn of UGK and Outkast, combining street and cerebral." 2012 already looks to be fruitful for the duo, who kicked off the year taking part in the Red Bull Skooled Tour, a seven-city run through the southwest alongside a collection of Texas legends and fellow up-and-comers. The duo is embarking on their first North American tour, opening up for Black Milk's Claps And Slaps Tour, this spring.
