Critical Praise For A.Dd+:
"There's something really special about what's happening in the Dallas underground hip-hop scene at the moment — and A.Dd+... are a major part of that." - Dallas Observer
The Song:
"Capture whatever you set out to claim," says Slim Gravy and Paris Pershun, who collectively make up the Dallas duo A.Dd+, about their latest single. The song, "Greedy," is from the group's forthcoming debut, When Pigs Fly, which will be released for free download just two weeks from today on Monday, March 28th. Picnic Tyme, unofficial third member and producer for all of When Pigs Fly, kicks things off for the guys with a bouncy percussion and string-filled track, accompanied by equally jumping and syncopated drums and bass that pushes the song forward.
The track is a perfect fit for A.Dd+'s contrasting voices and at-times unorthodox vocals. Paris Pershun holds down the first verse with his nasal-inflected flow, as he raps, "Discussing where I'm going, and not where I been/ Cause that's the only thing that matters in the end," before the soulful Mz. Fortune joins the duo for the chorus, singing, "My mama told me, don't stay hungry get your piece of pie/ The cookie's crumbling while your mumbling for a piece or slice... I don't know about you, but we trying to get this money, baby!" Closing the song with a repeating refrain that revolves around the phrase "We want it all, man," A.Dd+ drives home the positive flip on an often frowned upon desire, explaining,"Sometimes it's okay to be 'greedy.' In our case, it’s less about the traditional meaning and more about achieving our goals." If the quality of music on When Pigs Fly is any indication, A.Dd+ is poised to get everything they ask for in the very near future.
A.Dd+'s debut album, When Pigs Fly, will be available for free download on Monday, March 28th.

The Background:
Quirky yet streetwise, fun-loving yet dead serious, A.Dd+, the duo of Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy, may just be leading Dallas towards a rap renaissance. With a recipe that falls somewhere between UGK’s downhome Southern cooking and the abstract vibes of the Native Tongues movement, the group’s first release Power of the Tongue, earned them local acclaim and a “Best Rap Act” nomination from the Dallas Observer. When Pigs Fly, their debut album, produced by Picnic Tyme (of Erykah Badu’s Cannabinoids crew) will be released as a free download on March 28, 2011.
