Ace Set To Perform in Williamsburg, Releases Latest Single From Arcadia

Fresh from a jam-packed show at The Delancey, Ace Reporter is on assignment again. This time the Brooklyn singer-songwriter heads to Cameo Gallery (93 North 6th Street, Williamsburg) on Saturday, May 7th for what promises to be a raucous night of rock and electro-sizzle courtesy of Ace and his all-star band. Ace Reporter hits the stage at Cameo at 9PM and is set to serve up offerings from his threesixfive project to the ever-eager crowd. Sharing the bill with Ace are friends and collaborators, Swingset Committee, whose kinetic combo of electro and energy will serve as the perfect complement to Ace Reporter’s dynamic set. Tickets for the show will be available at the door for $8.
Ace Reporter is also excited to release “Stick To,” the second single from his recently released Arcadia EP. Distorted organs dance with the energy of the city in “Stick To” as Ace loses himself in a Manhattan night and imbibes in both drink and think. “It’s hard to say what I do” contemplates Ace, “I make plans I should stick to.” The song finds its inspiration from a friend of Ace, an everyman who finds time to write poetry at night following his 9 to 5. “It’s a bit insane really,” says a pensive Ace. “No one pays the bills, let alone gets rich, from writing poetry (which is too bad). The Background:
In 1986 a young Ace Reporter (aka Chris Snyder) saw Itzhak Perlman playing violin on Sesame Street and became enamored with the world of classical music. A few years later, Ace landed his first gig as a singer as the boy soprano on the soundtrack for The Crow. His voice appeared in dozens of movies, TV shows and commercials throughout the course of the next several years. An electric guitar and a creative spark led Ace from recording tracks in his garage to forming The States in 2002, a band he spent 7 years with, releasing 3 albums and playing over 300 shows. With The States on permanent hiatus, Ace Reporter embarked on an ambitious sonic adventure in 2010 - writing and recording one song every day of the year as part of the threesixfive project. With the project now complete, Ace has released a series of warmly received EPs showcasing his favorite tracks, and is now readying his debut album for release in Fall 2011.
