Brooklyn Artist Releases Remix From Upcoming EP, Announces New Shows
The Songs:
'One two three and four / I do declare it is a fine day for a war.' So begins Ace Reporter's "The World Is On Fire", the Brooklyn singer's latest single from his industrious threesixfive project. The track storms in with acoustic guitars that collide with cynically political lyrics before giving way to an anthemic chorus that finds Ace retreating to the safety of his bunker as the world around him is consumed by flames both literal and figurative. Things turn a turn for the electro on "The World Is On Fire (Barbara Remix)", where the visceral drums and guitar licks of the original are transformed into an infectious synth infused song from the future. Remixed by Ace's left coast compatriots, Barbara and soon to be featured on an upcoming Ace Reporter EP, the remix remains rooted in the essence of the original, even as every line drips with an electro coating. As Bob Villain of Barbara explains, "I worked on this remix while fighting my own political battle in my community – while fighting I was also listening repeatedly to Ace's lyrics: "the world is on fire."
Fresh from a packed show at Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn, Ace Reporter is also excited to announce two new shows in the New York area. Ace will hit the stage at The Delancey on April 21st before making a triumphant return to Cameo Gallery on May 7th. The shows promise to be energetic affairs, as Ace brings the songs from the threesixfive project and his EP releases to life in fiery fashion with the support of a talented crew of musicians.

Background:
In 1986 a young Ace Reporter (also born as Chris Snyder) saw Itzhak Perlman playing violin on Sesame Street and became enamored with the world of classical music. A few years later, Ace landed his first gig as a singer as the boy soprano on the soundtrack for The Crow. His voice appeared in dozens of movies, TV shows and commercials throughout the course of the next several years. An electric guitar and a creative spark led Ace from recording tracks in his garage to forming The States in 2002, a band he spent 7 years with, releasing 3 albums and playing over 300 shows. With The States on permanent hiatus, the threesixfive project was born in Brooklyn in 2010 and can be found in its entirety here: http://myacereporter.com/
