The Show:

(February 10, 2011 - New York, NY) Brooklyn singer-songwriter Ace Reporter is excited to announce his first live show on Thursday, February 17th at Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg, BK. Backed by a full band, the show promises to be an energetic affair for fans and will feature a multiplicity of songs from Ace's ambitious threesixfive project. Ace Reporter will be hitting the stage at 9:00PM for an hour long set – tickets will be available at the door at Cameo Gallery for $5. Thursday's performance will also double as a release party for the Sleepyhead EP, a five song collection of introspective tracks culled from Ace's vast melodious library.

Ace Reporter is also pleased to offer his rendition of Arcade Fire's "We Used to Wait". Recorded by Ace in December as part of a weeklong tribute to his favorite albums of 2010, this re-imagining of Arcade Fire's anthemic track features soaring violins interlaced with Ace's disarming vocals. In addition to offering the song for free download, Ace is proud to present a montage video which finds his cover song set to photographs taken by his friends – join him below on this journey of vocals and visuals.

The Background:

In 1986 a young Ace Reporter (also born as Chris Snyder) saw Itzhak Perlman playing violin on Sesame Street and became enamored with the world of classical music. A few years later, Ace landed his first gig as a singer as the boy soprano on the soundtrack for The Crow. His voice appeared in dozens of movies, TV shows and commercials throughout the course of the next several years. An electric guitar and a creative spark led Ace from recording tracks in his garage to forming The States in 2002, a band he spent 7 years with, releasing 3 albums and playing over 300 shows. With The States on permanent hiatus, the threesixfive project was born in Brooklyn in 2010 and can be found in its entirety here: http://myacereporter.com/
