The A3C Hip-Hop Festival, now in its seventh year and already well known for bringing the best and brightest stars in hip-hop together, has partnered with iHipHop Distribution for a brand compilation, A3C Volume 1. The track list, revealed earlier this week, boasts a whopping 45 songs spread across two discs and features new, exclusive tracks from the range of artists participating in the 2011 festival. The A3C Volume 1 compilation will be available everywhere October 4th on iHipHop and can be pre-ordered now on iTunes.
Now, following previous singles from Freeway as well as M.O.P. & The Snowgoons, iHipHop is excited to release the compilation's third single, "Spotlight" from Chicago up-and-comer Rockie Fresh. Boasting a unique sound that has deep urban undertones and an alternative rocker mentality, Rockie continues to break barriers and defy conventions. Working with artists ranging from Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump to internet phenom Lil B, and with co-signs from the likes of new-age college rap sensations like Asher Roth and Kidz In The Hall, Rockie's grassroots movement has every corner of the music world talking. About The A3C:
Now in its 7th year, the A3C Hip Hop Festival is a 2-day, 3-night event held annually in Atlanta, GA and features live performances from a wide variety of approximately 200 artists. The live performance schedule is enhanced by day and evening content showcasing some of the most exciting breakdance, graphic art, fashion, film, equipment demonstrations and panels relating to Hip Hop culture.
Since 2005, the event has featured over 600 of the most elite artists in Hip Hop including: Rakim, Buckshot, Black Sheep, DJ Premier, The Juice Crew, Biz Markie, Del the Funky Homosapien, The Clipse, Souls of Mischief, Little Brother, Wale and B.o.B. In 2010, the A3C was attended by over 20,000 fans and featured partnerships and co-sponsored events with Red Bull, Fadia Kader's Perfect Attendance, 2DopeBoyz, TheSmokingSection, iStandard, Kevin Nottingham, Unique Squared, DJBooth, SESAC and more.
