New Audible Treats Hip-Hop Podcast 178 Features Opio x Free The Robots, Chris Miles, Sadistik x Kno, Psalm One, and Words Hurt

Kicking Off Audible Treats Hip-Hop Podcast 178 is Chris Miles and his rebellious tune “Psychotic” off his forthcoming Milestones EP. In the pensive single, Miles examines where he is in his career and if the life he’s headed towards will satisfy his aspirations or make him “Psychotic.” Following Chris Miles is the Oakland duo Opio X Free the Robots with their RESPECT Mag premiered single “Point of View” off their forthcoming album Sempervirens. The track has a nostalgic, looping breakbeat and repetitious bass lick accentuated by Opio’s boastful lyrics. Next up is “Killers” by rappers Alaska and Lang Vo who make up the group Words Hurt. “Killers” is a bass heavy track that features Elsphinx and was produced by Lang Vo. “Killers” is first single off the group’s upcoming The Alkast Remixes. Following Words Hurt, is the Chicago emcee Psalm One with her single “Impatient” (Just U & Me) off her forthcoming album P.O.L.Y (Psalm One Loves You). In their premiere Okayplayer describes the song as a “trap-inflected take on the Bill Withers classic ‘Just the Two of Us,’ laced with full-spring high-hats and a heavenly hook, providing Psalm with the space to stretch out her rigged and raw verbiage over a cut that has all of the vibes.” Rounding out the list is the rap duo Sadistik x Kno with the atmospheric track “To Be In Love” of their Phantom Limbs project. The song is a hypnotic track centered around the themes of seduction, danger, and passion.
