Kicking Off Audible Treats Hip-Hop Podcast 177 is Trae Tha Truth with his Future and Boosie-featured single, “Tricken Every Car I Get,” from his recently released album, Tha Truth. Premiered by The FADER, the single finds the “big homie” of Houston teaming up with Future, Boosie, and production team League of Starz, for a grandiose drop-top anthem that remains true to the Lone Star state’s infatuation with customized rides. Following Trae is teen-aged Long Island rapper Chris Miles with, “Out Here,” from his as yet untitled album that will be released later this year. As a trunk-knocking track comparing his hometown to life on the West Coast, the single is led by Miles’ tenacious verses, which each flip through several flows before slowing down for the track’s easy-going chorus. Next up is KYLE, with his G-Eazy-featured single “King Wavy.” “‘KING WAVY’ is a record I knew was always in me,” KYLE explains. “This is a true banger. I’m really pushing out the West Coast in me.” The eccentric single is from a three track release that the Ventura rapper premiered via VIBE earlier this month. Following KYLE is Verse Simmonds with “All I Want,” featuring Jeremih. From his forthcoming album, Sex Tape Chronicles 3, the Billboard-premiered track has the two singers laying down seductive lyrics over a remixed sample of “The Cha Cha Slide.” Last but not least is The Outfit, TX‘s Crit Morris and K. Nation-featured single, “Whatcha Mean,” from their recently released Deep Ellum EP. Full of smooth synth bass lines, synthesizer, and crisp 808 drum tracks, TOTX delivers every rhyme with the Southern bravado the trio has become synonymous with.
