The Podcast:

Hear the latest tracks from our PR roster in this week’s episode of the Audible Treats Hip-Hop Podcast. Starting off the podcast we have future RnB crooner, Marc E. Bassy, with his new single, “Relapse.” The track features HBK Gang member Iamsu! and is off of his recently released EP, Only The Poets, which was premiered on DJ Booth earlier this week. Following Bassy, we have Audible Treats newcomer and Moola Gang Ca$h Cow$ affiliate Luke-O, with his mafioso styled track, “Main Street Pt. II.” The song premiered last week on The Smoking Section and is the Pittsburgh MC’s first offering off of his upcoming mixtape, Lacoste BossNext up, we have North-Carolina based, Congolese rapper, Well$, featured on CyHi The Prince’s remix of the Nelson Mandela inspired track, “Mandela.” The single was released on Mandela’s birthday earlier this month and features Well$ alongside South African rapper Reason honoring their African pride. After Well$, we have Dallas, Texas local legend Big Hud and East Oakland native Beeda Weeda, with their new smash, “Money, Money, Money.” Featuring Franchi$e Teef, the track is the first single off of Big Hud’s upcoming street album O.B.Y.A. and will be followed by Big Weeda’s solo album, Too $hort Presents: Beeda Weeda’s Bass Rock Babies, dropping August 19th and their collaborative album, The Storm, which will be released on September 30th. Ending the podcast we have Funk Volume co-founder Hopsin with his controversial single, “Ill Mind of Hopsin 7.” The track is the seventh part of Hopsin’s Ill Mind of Hopsin video series and takes place in a desolate desert, where Hopsin endures the blazing sun and stares into the big open sky in search of a sign from a higher power. “The video shows me reaching out to God because I want a reaction,” says the Funk Volume co-founder. “I kind of talk myself out of believing in God. Not that he doesn’t exist, but I go through an emotional roller coaster so sometimes I’m yelling, but I’m not disrespecting God – it’s that I want to get a reaction from him.” Stay tuned for more from our roster.
