Huey Goes From YouTube to the Boob Tube
Huey’s new single “Nobody Loves the Hood,” which started its vid life strictly online, is up for vote on BET’s 106 and Park. The song is one that hits close to home for Huey. Says Huey, “My neighborhood used to have a sense of community but now it’s dead due to drugs and things getting too hot there so I’m investing my money to rebuild youth centers, libraries, schools, and stores.” The destitution that plagues St. Louis is portrayed in “Nobody Loves the Hood.”
