Alternately singing and rapping over hazy, atmospheric instrumentals with effortless ease, Pittsburgh’s KH is Taylor Gang‘s newest hitmaker. Posting up in a penthouse with a blunt and a video vixen, KH schemes to steal your girl in “Potion,” his latest visual. Put in a trance by their natural chemistry, KH and his new friend whip up a “Potion” that keeps them under the spell. Produced by Sledgren and Justin Cicco, “Potion” is a woozy anthem, complete with swirling sines, clanging 808s, and chiming bells. Though a lesser artist might get lost in the massive production, KH cuts through with his smooth delivery, letting his new friend know that “everything we do in here, I’ll take to the grave.” Premiered today by HipHopDX, “Potion” is a highlight from KH’s recently released Nobody Sleeps Anymore, a eight-track effort with production from Sledgren, Ricky P, and RMB Justize.

KH joined up with Taylor Gang earlier this year. Growing up listening to a healthy mix of Hip-Hop (especially Three Six Mafia) and R&B (SWV), KH worked hard to develop his own lane in between the two genres. KH’s first step on the path to Taylor Gang came when he collaborated with Wiz Khalifa on “Back Around,” a highlight track from his 2014 mixtape Viva. In 2015, KH released Moscrill Hotel, an EP executive produced by Sledgren. KH had his biggest year yet in 2016, dropping Nobody Sleeps Anymore, his first retail release, performing at SXSW, at official afterparties for Wiz Khalifa’s High Road Tour, and gracing the stage with Taylor Gang at their showcase during the A3C Fest in Atlanta. Last week, KH dropped the video for “She Wanna Have,” a popular track from Taylor Gang’s first-ever compilation mixtape, TGOD Vol. 1. KH is currently on tour in support of his latest project.
