The Video:

A promising young rapper who defies the norm, Felly embraces his laid-back persona with every track he touches. In his latest video, the Connecticut-born musician takes viewers inside a live studio session for the song “Blue Velour.” The clip, directed by Nikolai Hagen, is filled with action-packed shots of Felly, his right hand man Gyyps, and his band jamming out to the popular track off the rapper’s Young Fel EP. “Blue Velour” makes you feel as if you’re part of the rapper’s crew due it’s home-movie style cuts of shenanigans happening in the jam session. The video serves as a tease of what’s to come from Felly’s three-day-exclusive “Wild Strawberries Prelude” tour. If this video proves anything, it’s that Felly always brings good vibes.

Felly returns to the scene following the release of 2016’s Young Fel EP. The EP featured an appearance from frequent collaborator Gyyps and produced the breakout hit “Desert Eagle.” Recently, Felly relocated from LA to New York City, where he has been gearing up for the release of his next album Wild Strawberries due out later this summer. Features on the highly anticipated album include Konshens and GYYPS, with production from Dre MoonDot Da GeniusYoG$, and more.

The Background:

Born and raised in Trumbull, Connecticut, Christian Felner aka Felly grew up immersed in hip-hop music. Using passion as his guide, Felly taught himself how to make beats on a laptop in his parent’s basement. The aspiring rapper began to make a name for himself as a producer by selling said beats on YouTube. After relocating to Los Angeles, the rapper released two solo projects Waking Up to Sirens and Milk and Sugar. The projects featured Dreamville signee Ari Lennox and frequent collaborator, GYYPS. As his music caught more attention, Felly began working with more talented producers resulting in the release of his mixtape This Shit Comes in Waves. The mixtape’s success resulted in a 20+ city headlining tour and a SXSW appearance. Recently, Felly has relocated to New York City, where he has been gearing up for the release of his next album Wild Strawberries due out later summer 2017.
