ZAKEE is a Philadelphia born-and-bred triple threat (song-writer, producer and artist). After receiving a dual degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering at Howard University, ZAKEE decided to really focus on the craft and began to working alongside artists like M.I.A., The Very Best, and Rye-Rye, most notably on the track, “Gangsta Girl”, for NBC’s Friday Night Lights, which earned the artist a Rolling Stone nomination for Number 1 Artist to Watch,. ZAKEE has just released his latest project and debut album as an artist, ASSIMILATIONS, on September 13th via Green Owl Records/ Warner Music Group.
