This new project showcases the lauded emcee's storied gift for wordplay, and mastery of boom-bap. In his formidable years in high school, Von was forced to actively carve his own lane in Brooklyn’s heavily competitive hip-hop arena so he always knew what his music would sound like. “This isn’t so much me going solo as it is trying to trick people into hearing my actual music as originally intended,” says Von.
