Shady Nate is no stranger to adversity. Born and raised in West Oakland's Acorn housing projects, he learned at a young age to hustle and grind to get anywhere. In 2004, he launched Livewire Records and released a full-length mixtape with Nas’ tour DJ, DJ Fresh. He then released The Gasman Unleashed in June 2009, and the album was quickly dubbed a west coast classic. Shady Nate has now teamed up again with DJ Fresh for their upcoming album, Still Based On A True Story, which will be available July 19th via Fresh In The Flesh/Shady Nation.
