Born and raised in North Oakland, CA, D. Willz prides himself on going against the grain and having a sense of humor in his raps. He is at the forefront of the second generation of hip-hop artists, being raised by parents who listened to hip-hop and rap rather than R&B and funk. Together with producer Mark Kragen, D.
