CSC Funk Band, an 11-piece band comprised of a GWAR drummer, an Akron Family keyboardist, an Anthony Braxton collaborator, and Bad Manners trombonist, makes that instrumental get-up-and-dance music from planet nowhere. After releasing Racket on lead guitarist Colin Langenus’ label Mass Distribution and two 7”s on drummer Jim Thomson’s Electric Cowbell Records, CSC Funk Band is currently gearing up for the release of their debut album, Things Are Getting Too Casual on Fat Beats Records on June 14th, 2011.
