Domani Announces Constellation Mixtape, Releasing March 10th

FADER Premieres the Dreamy, Laid-Back “Paris” Featuring London Jae, the Lead Single From the 16-Year-Old ATL Rapper’s Project

With a slight Southern drawl, an appealing sing-song flow, and wisdom well beyond his 16 years, Domani is a promising newcomer in the rap game. Today, the young Atlanta artist announces that he will release Constellation, his first full-length mixtape, on March 10th. Populated with wavy, dreamlike instrumentals, with liquid keys and airy synths, Constellation finds Domani reflecting on his aspirations, his trials, and his place in the world. The son of legendary Southern rapper T.I., Domani shares his father’s erudite wordplay and ear for quality production. A ten track effort with features from London Jae and Zonique, Constellation establishes Domani as a rapper to watch as he grows into a fully-formed artist and human being.

Domani explains the title ‘Constellation’ to The FADER: “I feel like I gotta have all my stars aligned so people can see who I really am, to see me for who I am. I’m getting all the stars aligned so people can see that I’m a true artist. I want people to just enjoy the music and put aside what they expect me to sound like, look like, be like because of my background.”

Riding a shivering cloud rap instrumental with a deep, rattling rhythm section, Domani recounts a European dream on “Paris.” Boasting a world weary croak that belies his young age, the globe-trotting Domani reflects on achieving his dreams at such a young age. Premiered by The FADER, “Paris” is emblematic of the rest of Constellation–thoughtful, deep, and easy on the ears. “London Jae did the first two hooks and I did the last one, which is more political so the the song has two different meanings,” says Domani. “The first hook is cool and fun, and something to vibe to but I wanted to throw it off and bring people back to reality to talk about what’s really going on.”
