Video: Clyde Carson ft. Mozzy – “Bring All Your Friends”

The Two Northern California Emcees Party in a Secluded Grotto in the Third Visual from S.T.S.A. 2

Critical Praise:

Barely contained hyphy beats — glistening with an element of sex appeal — are complemented by Carson’s gruff voice. It’s music for both clubs and cars.” – LA Weekly

The Video:

For Clyde Carson, more is merrier when it comes to scantily-clad women. Relaxing in a blissful grotto with his main chick and all her friends, the California emcee and former captain of The Team shares “Bring All Your Friends,” his latest video. Floating over an airy, tropical hyphy instrumental, Clyde Carson recruits street hero Mozzy to rhyme about the finer things, as the two emcees host a pool party and show off their muscle cars in the clip. “Bring All Ur Friends” is a highlight from S.T.S.A. 2, Clyde Carson’s latest album.

A celebrated craftsman of West Coast radio hits, Clyde Carson returned in a big way with S.T.S.A. 2, a lean slice of dancefloor-ready rap. The sequel to 2012’s Something To Speak About, which featured the #1 radio hit Slow Down,” the project was premiered by GoodMusicAllDay, which writes:A Northern California party rap legend with a string of hits on West Coast airwaves, Clyde Carson’s music is remarkably resistant to trends.” Featuring hyphy party-starters like Gettin’ To It,” which Stereogum called “a titanic fart-monster of a hyphy track,” and the XXL-premiered ratchet turn-up anthem “She Ready,” featuring E-40 and produced by DJ Mustard and Las Venus, S.T.S.A. 2 is packed with Bay Area bangers of all stripes and sizes. Featuring appearances from E-40, Mozzy, Keak Da Sneak, YMTK, and 1-O.A.K., as well as production from DJ Mustard, CT Beats, Drew Banga, and others, S.T.S.A. 2 reaffirms Clyde as one of the most impactful hitmakers on the West Coast–when he resurfaces, people take note.
