The Video:

A tireless rapper with an inspiring work ethic, nobody reps Taylor Gang harder than Chevy Woods. A trusted affiliate of Wiz Khalifa for over a decade, Chevy loudly affirms his affiliation in “Gang Shit Only,” his latest video. Directed by Jonathan Andrade of BLKDMNDS, “Gang Shit Only” depicts a day in the life of Chevy Woods, waking up with a lovely lady, smoking and gambling with his boys, and driving in his muscle car. “Gang Shit Only” paints Chevy Woods as a blue-collar baller, a king in his neighborhood and a well-respected player on the national scene. Premiered today by HotNewHipHop, “Gang Shit Only is the title track from Chevy’s most recent mixtape, released in November. Featuring appearances from Wiz Khalifa, Rich the Kid, Hardo, and others, the Gang Shit Only mixtape is packed with tight verses and memorable melodies, showcasing Chevy’s facility for songwriting and demonstrating his versatility. Prior to Gang Shit Only, Chevy appeared on several tracks on TGOD Vol. 1, a compilation mixtape showing off the talents of Taylor Gang signees.

Gang Shit Only is Chevy’s second free release this year, following …And The Story Goes, a four-part video EP released in March. Both Gang Shit Only and …And The Story Goes are ideal appetizers for Taylor’d, Chevy Woods’ album coming in 2017. After years of grinding in the mixtape game, Taylor’dwill be the Pittsburgh rapper’s first retail full-length. The proper follow up to last year’s The 48 Hunnid Project, Taylor’d paints a vivid picture of Chevy Woods, evenly stacked with party bangers, songs for the smokers, and more personal introspective tracks, capitalizing upon Chevy’s years of hard work and dedication to his craft. Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feastand he recently partnered with Ethika to release a signature line of men’s briefs.

Chevy Woods Background:
An experienced rapper with a tireless work ethic, Chevy Woods represents for Pittsburgh with every release. First gaining notoriety as an associate of Wiz Khalifa, Chevy has gained a devoted fanbase through a decade’s worth of mixtapes and a busy touring schedule. In 2015, Chevy released The 48 Hunnid Project, his first retail release via Taylor Gang Ent. Named after the block he was raised on in the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh, The 48 Hunnid Project is a legacy-defining EP that finds Woods taking listeners on a journey from the hard times and harsh realities that came in his early years leading into the lavish lifestyle that’s come more recently with world tours and fame. Chevy Woods followed up The 48 Hunnid Project, with a busy 2016, featuring numerous loose singles, freestyles over popular industry beats like Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up” and Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and highlighted by February’s And the Story Goes…, a 4-part video EP that finds Pittsburgh rapper reflecting on his adolescence and contemplating career paths. Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feast. Chevy also made headlines when he partnered with California-based clothing brand Ethika for a line of signature men’s briefs. Chevy Woods will make more noise in 2017 with his upcoming full-length album, Taylor’d.
